Like the thought of whipping up a smoothie or shake, but hate the idea of dragging out a huge blender? Consider, instead, a hand held blender like the KitchenAid KHB100OB Hand Blender. From a company known for their mixers and appliances, this hand held blender has nine speeds to choose from. It stops and starts with the push of one button and can be immersed up to eight inches deep into whatever you’re blending. Stainless steel blades ensure accurate blending. Attachments are easy to add or take off with two ejector buttons; likewise, assembly is easy as is dismantling the blender portion for dishwasher-safe clean up.
This KitchenAid model also comes with a five foot long power cord and a three cup “blending beaker” with sealing lid. The hand held blender also boasts a non-slip handle. Customers on Amazon had positive reviews for this model. They appeared to like the ease of clean up (one reviewer gave this tip: “blend” a cup of hot soapy water for the easiest, fastest clean up) and its light weight and stated they have used it to make everything from humus to a single drink.

Customer reviews are a great way to research a product and find out if it truly delivers. Here are a few owner comments from Onyx Black KitchenAid KHB100OB Hand Blender reviews.
The immersion blender does exactly what I want. It is a little bigger and heavier than I thought it would be, but it gets the job done and seems like it will go the distance in my kitchen. The trick is to find a handy storage spot for it (think rolling pin and you’ll have a pretty decent idea of the space requirement).
This hand blender is absolutely great for the myriad quick mixing jobs that crop up during cooking. Just grab it, turn it on, do the job and then it cleans up in just a few seconds. Way easier than using the regular mixer. The only downside at all is that the long cord is fairly stiff and takes up a bit of room on the counter laying around the tool. Other than that inconsequential issue it is well worth the price.
