Customer reviews are a great way to research a product and find out if it truly delivers. Here are a few owner comments from Brita 42629 Slim Pitcher reviews.
This has been a great pitcher for filtered water. The water tastes so much better than straight from the faucet and you can occasionally see bits of the stuff filtered out and left in the filter, so you know it’s working. Some have complained about the black flecks in their water. However, while I do get some black flecks (presumably charcoal) in the top segment of the pitcher, as long as you get the filter completely into the holder the flecks do NOT get in your drinking water.
I purchased this Brita filtering system two months ago. We have good local water, but I wanted to improve our drinking water without installing a complicated system. We are very happy with this pitcher and filter system and believe that our drinking water tastes better, and has fewer unwanted elements. I’ve really noticed an improvement in the flavor of tea and coffee. Even my cats, with their highly developed taste and scent capabilities drink more now that they get filtered water!
